In addition to working and being a partner in various recognized firms in the country since 2001, and now being a founding partner of ELS - Peñalosa + Donnadieu, Luis Enrique has developed strategies aimed at obtaining any kind of intellectual property rights; analysis of patent lawsuits in different industries; design and determination of strategies for the defense of exclusive rights; implementation of contentious strategies in cases of intellectual property rights; demands for cancellation, nullity, voidability and infractions, as well as any procedure related to them; negotiation of licenses of intellectual property rights; determination of strategies for the commercialization of products protected by exclusive rights.
In addition, Luis Enrique has helped in the protection of literary, musical, drawing, architecture, cinematographic, computer programs, photographic works, and any other type of artistic work, including their registration with the Public Registry of Copyright, as well as the Obtaining Reservations of Rights to Exclusive use; maintenance of Reservations of Rights to Exclusive Use before the National Institute of Copyright; contentious procedures and subsequent instances for the defense of any kind of copyright, related rights and Reserves of Rights to Exclusive Use; contest the validity of copyright registration certificates and Reservations of Rights to Exclusive Use; consultation on the comprehensive protection of copyright; comprehensive design of strategies for the protection of copyright; paid collaboration contract; contentious proceedings before the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property and subsequent instances against the unauthorized use of copyright works; among others.
Likewise, Luis Enrique has carried out preventive and contentious analyzes related to public acquisitions on different issues. Review and analysis of all types of bidding procedures for products and services. Challenge of public tenders organized by different federal and local authorities; contentious procedures for the challenge of public tenders before different control bodies of public institutions and before the Secretariat of the Comptroller and different judicial and administrative authorities.
Likewise, Luis Enrique has participated in obtaining records, licenses and permits from the Ministry of Health and the Federal Commission for the Protection against Sanitary Risks and different procedures against these authorities and public social security institutions.
In the teaching field, Luis Enrique is adjunct professor of the subject of "Intellectual Property Law", in the Law Degree of the Universidad Iberoamericana, A.C., Santa Fe campus. He is also a frequent speaker at seminars organized by the Cámara de Comercio Internacional (“ICC”), the Barra Mexicana, Colegio de Abogados, A.C. and other public and private institutions. Likewise, he is the author and co-author of various publications, among others, of the Mexican Chapter of the publication "Patents in 36 World Jurisdictions", Getting the Deal Through, 2013, of the Mexican Chapter of the publication "The International Comparative Legal Guide to: Pharmaceutical Advertising 2010 ”, Global Legal Group, 2010, of the article“ Where are the Punitive Damages ”, included in the publication The Mexican Legal System of the Supreme Court of Justice”, Mexico, 2015, and of the article “Oral Commercial Proceedings in Mexico , Key Piece for a More Effective Judicial System? ”, Mexico, 2019.
From 2016 to May 2019 Luis Enrique was Deputy Coordinator of the Comisión de Propiedad Intelectual de la Barra Mexicana, Colegio de Abogados, A.C. and since June 2019 he is Coordinator of the same. |
